Musamude’s legacy is overshadowed by Matafale

By Davies Jiva..

When Evison Matafale died, I thought it would be the end of the Black Missionaries. His direct cousin Musamude Fumulani proved me wrong.

He revitalised the band to the extent that it became household darling. His untimely death was a big blow to the group. Anthony Makondetsa, another direct cousin of Fumulani brothers, salvaged the band from wrecking.

I have not followed the Black Missionaries recently, but I do not think Mr Cool and the band are still trending.

Musamude Fumulani was on his own level; he was an epitome of reggae artist in Malawi. Sometimes I even think that his legacy was masked by Evison Matafale.
