The Gunners have signed Gabriel Magalhaes, a Brazilian defender from Lille. He becomes the club’s second new arrival of the summer.
The defender has signed a five-year deal worthy £25,000 with Arsenal.
Gabriel, 22, arrived in England on Monday when he travelled to Arsenal’s training ground at London Colney to finally make an official transfer.
The new signing will boost Mikel Arteta’s defense nightmares at the Emirates stadium.
“We welcome Gabriel to Arsenal. He has many qualities which will make us stronger as a defensive unit and as a team. He has proved with Lille that he is a defender with many outstanding attributes and we are looking forward to watching him grow as an Arsenal player.”, Arteta made remarks on the new centre-back.
Gabriel will wear the number 6 jersey after Koscielny.
