Chelsea making major moves in the transfer market

Chelsea are the better side in the ongoing transfer window so far; probably making up for the transfer ban which was imposed on them for bleaching FIFA Fair Play rules last season.

They have recently signed England left-back Ben Chilwell from Leicester City on a five-year deal.

The 23-year-old academy product made his Leicester debut in 2015, and was tied on to a contract with the Foxes until 2024.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of this young, dynamic squad led by Frank Lampard as we challenge for honours next season,” said Chilwell, who has 11 England caps.

Chilwell is Chelsea’s third signing of the summer after the arrivals of winger Hakim Ziyech, 27, from Ajax and 24-year-old striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

In related developments, Thiago Silva has signed his contract with Chelsea, announcement expected soon. Havertz deal with Bayer Leverkusen has also been agreed as reported on Monday, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Skynews journalist.
