The Manchester United and England defender, Harry Maguire has been removed from the latest England squad list for the incoming Nations League.
The England National Team Manager, Southgate, had initially slotted in Maguire for the Iceland and Denmark matches next month.
The €80 million Manchester United star was given a jail sentence of 21 months and 10 days due to accusations of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and repeated bribery attempts.
The sentence has, however been suspended for three years.
Southgate said he had spoken to Maguire. “Harry regrets the fact he has brought that sort of focus and attention to the team- he apologized for that- but also has his own side of the story.” he said, according to the BBC.
